Recent figures showed that there was increase in the number of jobs created during July.
Data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics show that there were 10,900 new jobs created in the country's economy, with the majority of positions being full time.
The unemployment rate remained at 4.3 per cent, which was also the figure for June.
Stephen Halmarick, co-head of economics at Citi, told Reuters that the figures were "stronger than expected, particularly for full-time employment".
"Employment is a lagging indicator, but it does remind us that, while some parts of the Australian economy are slowing, other parts are still likely to be quite robust," he added.
The Robert Half Global Financial Employment Monitor 2008-2009 recently found that there was an increased demand for experienced finance professionals in Australia.
Some 54 per cent of businesses said they had "difficulty" attracting talented accountants.
