Feedlot creates jobs

New jobs could be created following the approval of planning permission for a new sheep feedlot in Warren Shire, it has been reported.
The site is scheduled to open next year on Bundemar road, generating five new jobs in the area, according to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
Agricultural firm Bydand Pastoral intends to process its own lambs at the feedlot and will fill the 50,000 facility with other producers stock.
Chief executive Steve Francis told the broadcaster he hopes the centre will help farmers get a better price for the animals.
"It's something that the industry really needs, [when] cattle feedlotting was established it really put a base in the industry and we hope that the feedlot sheep industry will do the same thing," he added.
Meanwhile, the Australian reported this week that prime minister Kevin Rudd claimed he is going to war over jobs during the financial crisis.
The premier claims his administration will generate tens of thousands of new jobs to combat unemployment in the nation.
